TESTING FACILITIES AT HARSH FOR uPVC RIGID CONDUIT PIPES
Each lot of HARSH rigid uPVC conduit pipe has to pass a series
of rigorous tests before it is passed on to the packing department.
Conduit pipes selected at random from each lot have to undergo
the following tests as per the quality assurance scheme of
testing and inspection of HIS as per procedural details provided
in IS 9537 part-III.
1. TEST FOR DIMENSIONS
(a) Maximum Outer Diameter.
(b) Minimum Outer Diameter.
(c) Minimum Inner Diameter.
(d) Uniformity of Wall Thickness
2. TEST FOR MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
(a) Bend Test
(b) Compression Test
(c) Impact Test
(d) Collapse Test
3. TEST FOR CONSTRUCTION
4. TEST FOR RESISTANCE TO HEAT
5. TEST FOR RESISTANCE TO BURING
6. TEST FOR EECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS |
